Iop publishing
media assistant 2019
IOP Publishing is the publishing company of the Institute of Physics, it is responsible for publishing scientific research which is distributed world-wide through journals, magazines, books and conference events.
During my internship, I learnt first-hand how to successfully conduct a multi-channel social media review for IOP's recruitment platform (Bright Recruits).
I proposed recommendations for future development looking into the company's marketing strategy and the different media channels that would appeal to STEM graduates seeking paid work after graduating.
Alongside this, I identified the key magazine distribution targets for 2020 in order to support sales planning and I was lucky to be asked to co-ordinate information and provide support for IOP's first 'Media Team' conference (off-site); this involved liaising with a variety of different stakeholders.
Internship length - June 2019 - August 2019
